Oh, I'm so sorry, Liana. I know you miss him terribly, as I'd sure be devastated to lose my farmer.... I'm so glad you participate in the the online forums and this blog. I've learned so much from you over the years, not just inspiration about sewing, but about how to live a life with genuine class and humility.

Dear Liana,

As with so many others, my thoughts and best condolences go out to you. What a marvelous man Pearle must have been--I see it in the wonderful slideshow you shared with us. I especially smiled at the "Cat School" photo. Pearle looked just as earnest talking to them as he did a fellow farmer about soybeans, or tractors. How very much I know you will miss him. Hugs and hugs and hugs. Gail

Liana, you don't know me, but I'm a reader of your blog and an admirer or your sewing and knitting talents. I wanted to extend my condolences to you. I'm hoping that you were able to have a good Thanksgiving with friends or family. Four years ago I lost my husband of 33 years. He was only 52. So I know it hurts every day, and a little more on the special days, and it will probably be that way for a while before it gets better. I just wanted you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Liana,
I, too, am an anonymous follower of yours. I'm a vicarious sewer and enjoy your fine work so much. I'm sorry to learn of your loss. Pearle seemed to have been a very kind soul. How lucky you are to have spent so much time together! As I watched your slideshow tribute, I was reminded of my own experience in the loss of each of my parents. So difficult to absorb and accept. I'm sending you some 'anonymous' love in hopes that it will be a salve to help you through this time. I'm also hoping you've burned a CD of your photo tribute--just so you'll be sure to always have it to view. Many blessings to you...

Liana,

I have tears in my eyes to read about Pearle. Obviously, I haven't kept up with your blog recently. I found you at sewing review. You're one of my favorite people in the online sewing world. You exhibit so much class and style. I love your poses in your photos. I want to be like you when I grow up (if I ever do). You remind me of my favorite aunt who is also very classy. You really are an inspiration. Thank you so much for letting us live vicariously through your posts.

Here's my web site. If you're ever in my neck of the woods, I'd love to meet you.
