Inspiration!

I was so thrilled to get my copy of the new Vogue Patterns magazine on Tuesday. I am a real fan of Ralph Rucci, and besides his first 2 patterns for Vogue being showcased, including this one on the cover, there are 2 articles about Rucci and his techniques and how to accomplish them, or at least how to attempt them. It seems quite early to get the June/July issue, but of course if we begin sewing now, we may be done by June or July.

We've been battling a bad run of bronchitis or something here, and I've been very occupied with being a not very satisfactory stand-in for a nurse. Needless to say, I've gotten almost no sewing done, and only a little knitting. I really hope we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel though, as it's been a long siege. I am determined not to get sick too, and I've got my fingers crossed. Maybe that's why I'm not getting any sewing done.

And last, but not in the least least, Happy Birthday to my dear sister!

I hope you do stay well too!

April 10 is a very busy day for birthdays - mine, DD, and a nephew as well! I am currently whipping a party frock for tomorrow night, so better get back to it!

I'm hoping all will be better your way real soon!
I'm anxious to get my Vogue magazine too, sounds like it will be interesting.

My copy showed up yesterday...I climbed into bed and read it. It is such an outstanding issue that I will need to read it again! I am sooooo glad that he gave approval to Vogue Patterns to license some of his looks as well as sharing the details on how to accomplish them. This is a KEEPER issue!

Hoping your family is feeling better. That bronchitis has been running around affecting a lot of people. Several coworkers were out because of it. Crossing my fingers that you do not get sick. I have yet to come across the vogue pattern mag, hopefully soon. The Elann Esprit yarn is such a lovely fiber, I would love to buy more, but will wait til I finish my sweater. I've started cutting the knit fabric for a wrap dress and hope to have pics soon.
