I don't know whether you have a place called 84 Lumber near you, but this was just too funny not to share.
My sister was visiting me and she saw the sign for this business as we drove down the street. She said "Before Lumber....I guess that would be 'caves'." I was totally nonplussed, and then realized she thought the sign was B4 Lumber, not 84 Lumber. Anyway, I guess caves would be before lumber.
I'm very excited because I'm going on a trip Friday. I'm flying to Chicago to visit a sewing friend. We're going to shop and go to musical events of all types for a few days. It will definitely be a total change for me, and I think I'm ready for something different. I will attempt to report on the fabric, etc., perhaps even with pictures, although I'm famous for taking the camera along, and then not taking any photos. So, we shall see.

Travel well and have fun in Chicago. If you go to Vogue Fabrics, tell them I love them and their fabrics!

Have a great trip to Chicago. Sounds like fun! Loved your story about your sister. :)
Have a great trip!
Yeah, great idea! Have a bunch of fun, Liana!
Have a wonderful time! I hope the weather warms up a little for you. Sally
Have a beautiful time.
That's so funny! We do have 84 Lumber here, they are right off of SR 84 so I always thought that was how they got their name. Maybe not.
Have a great trip!
Vogue, Fishman's, and music too? You will have a great time, despite the weather. Too bad Marshall Field's is no more. I refuse to step inside the interloper's stores. Be sure to get to the Art Institute if possible. I don't know what the special exhibits are right now, but the regular collection is always worth seeing. Have fun and say hi to Lake Michigan for me.

have fun. I love Chicago!
Sometimes a change of pace is exactly what we need. Have a wonderful time. Eat much, laugh much and definitely buy much!
Enjoy! Great places to eat are Rhapsody, in The Symphony Center, Russian Tea Time and, of course, Italian Village. All are downtown. I live a bit north of the city, but, shame on me for not having gone to Vogue Fabrics, nor Fishmans. We visit the museums often. You can't go wrong with The Art Institue, anytime! Thank you for sharing your creativity, in your blog. You are a true inspiration! My best to you!
Oh, please take pictures!! And I'm sure you two will have a great time (envious...)
Enjoy your trip !
I know all about the picture thing. When I travel, the camera stuff is always in my bag - and I always forget to take it out and use it LOL :-)
Oh how fun! Have a wonderful time and maybe your friend could remind you to use your camera once in awhile?
LOL! Enjoy your trip!
